I was doing some research the other day and found that there were a lot of men who were wondering how to lose love handles. I searched some more and found that there was a lot of misinformation out there regarding this topic, not only in the magazines and on TV. everyday but all over the internet with videos, articles, emails, and blog posts. So I decided to create this website, and write up this article regarding the truth about how to lose love handles for men because I feel it would be extremely important and helpful for a lot of people.

So the first thing that I want to talk about is your diet. When you are on a diet, for the most part you are restricting the amount of calories that you are eating. This is okay, but not the best way to lose love handles. The reason for this is because overtime leptin levels decrease and this increases your chances of going off of your diet and binging on food. And when this happens, this creates a cycle of constant dieting, binging, dieting and binging.

You become depressed, sad, mad and angry at yourself. But it’s not that your depressed, what really started it all was that you started off your diet by starving yourself. This is not good and most people cannot keep this up. You can’t do this and you shouldn’t do this. You should be eating tons of healthy, farm fresh food that is safe and natural.

Begin by eliminating whole grains from your diet. This is a big food myth that not many guys understand. Many food junkies and diet gurus tout grains as a miracle food because of its fiber content etc…but the truth is grains are not the best type of carbohydrate for you to consume. The reason is because they are highly inflammatory to your digestive system and the rest of your body. Also grains induce a high insulin response from your body.

This is the exact opposite of what you want to happen when you are trying to drop pounds of fat from your belly and waistline. You basically want to keep your blood sugar levels as stable as possible. This ensures to keep your cravings at bay and also keeps you feeling satisfied and full for a longer period of time.

A good example I can talk about is with Chinese food. Usually when people order Chinese food they gorge themselves but then they are hungry 2 hours later. It’s not because you are actually hungry, but it’s because your blood sugar levels shot up really fast from the Chinese food, then insulin got released bringing your blood sugar levels down faster than a speeding bullet. This is what caused the hunger and it just sets up a violent cycle of cravings and dieting. It’s not the best way to go about losing weight and certainly not the most advantageous.

The other thing about your diet is the old myth of eating 5-6 small meals a day compared to eating 3 big meals a day. The better way to see faster results is actually by eating 3 larger meals a day as compared to 6 small meals. The reason for this is because you ensure a more stable blood sugar profile as compared with 5-6 small meals throughout the day. When you eat small meals during the day, each time you eat, your body releases insulin, blood sugar increases and decreases. So if you look at a chart, it sort of looks like a roller coaster. But if you ate 3 large meals a day, it would look totally different.

You would see an initial rise in blood sugar and then a gradually decrease with a flat line for a decent period of time. This is what you ideally want and not the rollercoaster effect. Another thing to point out which they are finding is that by eating this way, your fasting blood glucose levels can possibly increase as you age. Again not the best scenario because your body is becoming more and more insulin resistant from all the times it had to pump out some insulin to reduce your blood sugar levels.

This is what eating 5-6 small meals a day does to you. Plus who doesn’t like eating 3 larger meals during the day and or night? They help to keep you more satisfied, feeling fuller, and just having a better overall feeling throughout the day. You’re never hungry and your blood sugar levels will remain stable throughout.

All in all, if you want to understand how to lose love handles for men, then you need to break down the dieting part with a tooth and comb. These are just a few suggestions that you can start doing right away in order to start shrinking your waistline down as soon as possible.
