Because this is going to push your body into an over-training state because of a nasty little hormone called cortisol. When you do a lot of aerobic activity, cortisol levels skyrocket which leads to muscle breakdown and a slower metabolism.


Your body can adapt to this type of stimulus rather quickly, therefore you burn less and less calories each time you workout. This is not good for long term weight loss because you’re creating a recipe for disaster. Eventually, you’ll hit one of those dreaded weight loss plateaus and it’ll be so hard to push past it that eventually you might just give up.
